How to be happy at work?
You have difficulties to find happiness at work? Maybe you should do things differently. Have a look at those points you could improve to feel happy at work!

Many people spend more than half of their waking days at work. For some of us, work is just something you have to do in order to be able to enjoy the rest of your life. But if you make a goal of improving your happiness at work, every aspect of your life will get some benefits from it. If you manage to find a way to make your working days more manageable, you'll find meaning in your work and develop a more positive attitude towards it. 
So if you want to be happy at work, here are a few tips : 

1. In the morning, enjoy some "me" time before the rush. 

Try to wake up at least an hour before you have to leave for work. It will help you not to feel overwhelmed. Plan some time for a good read, a nice breakfast or a jog, or just do whatever you need to start the day on the right foot. 

2. Know your colleagues 

At Tutu Shop, we really try to get to know each other better. Knowing the people in your team will help you to do great team work and will facilitate the communication. Also, when you share time with your coworkers, they might finally end as being good friends and going to work will not be a struggle anymore. 

3. Organize your workspace

Keeping your workspace clean and tidy is a good way to stay focused and execute your tasks clearly. Being organized and being aware of the position of your tools (pen, documents, etc.) is also a good way to work faster and more efficiently. 

4. Take pride in your work

However small or big the task is, always take pride in the work you've put in as well as in how it impacts people. There is always some aspect of the job that we can be proud of.

5. Take breaks 

Studies have shown that it's important to take breaks every 90 minutes : get away from your computer, get outside for a little walk, make a brief phonecall. It will help you to keep your focus on your task when you get back to work and will keep your stress level low. 

 Those tips are a good first step to better work days and happiness. So if you feel a bit down or overwhelmed in your professional life, try to apply them and I promise you'll see a quick change!
