"Never mix black and blue!"
Say what?! In the old days, we could hear "the association of black and blue is not a good fit". If you'd do so, it was considered as a fashion "faux-pas" and a crime against the fashion world.
Today, we can see that famous fashion designers proved those people wrong : Yves Saint-Laurent, Vivienne Westwood or even Paul Smith showed us remarkably that the mix of black and blue is totally on-trend.
A plain color outfit can quickly get boring but unfortunately we often take the easiest path including black, black and well, black again... But a touch of blue can add a little personality and happiness into your outfit. So forget about this myth and don't hesitate to go for this chic look!
Here are a few tips to make it work :
- A dark blue (top or bottom) will always be more subtile
- If you don't dare too much, bet on accessories (shoes, bag, jewelry)
- Electric or light blue are also good options for the ones who want to be noticed
- If you wanna try the mix but are still not so sure about it, a black tutu associated with a cropped top is a good idea. The showing skin will break the mix and attract the eyes
Make-up wise, go for the nude trend and avoid flashy lipstick
